Strength and Conditioning

Nick Orioli - Who is he?

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. Columbus Blue Jackets S&C Coach, along with 5 Years of NHL & MLB S&C Experience

Speed and Strength Tryout Prep Workouts

Working with Nick, we’ve set up a pretty cool opportunity for our team and candidates to work out with Nick and he can provide valuable workouts at a minimal cost. Nick will be our strength and conditioning coach throughout the season.

The Plan:

7:00 pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays. We will utilize the bottom parking lot at the bottom of the Dam at Hoover Reservoir. Access is Sunbury Road. You will then take the road to the right that leads to a giant overflow parking lot at the bottom of the dam. Nick has led several speed & conditioning sessions here over the past few years and have worked out great.

We'll tentatively plan to do speed work on Tuesdays and conditioning work on Thursdays. Speed sessions will focus on first first-step acceleration, first-three-step acceleration, technicalities, and top-end speed. Conditioning sessions will work on specific work-to-rest ratios.

Registration: Upon registration, the drop-in rate is $15/player. You will be prompted to sign in, fill out a waiver, and then will be set! You will have to do this for every session. If we have to cancel a session due to inclement weather, Nick will refund anyone desiring a refund, or they can just "pay forward" for the next session.
