Darcy Cahill will continue to assist EYHA in an anaylsis and skill development role

Skills Refocused:

For the 2025-2026 hockey season, Coach Darcy Cahill has come to an agreement with the EYHA Mavericks to focus all efforts on the skill development for all the teams within the organization. Darcy has been a staple on the coaching staff as well as our skill development coach for a number of years, and has played a pivotal role as a “builder” in the landscape of youth hockey here at EYHA, but also in Central Ohio.

Based on the changing landscape of youth hockey over the past couple of years, both Coach Cahill and EYHA are in agreement that more focus needs to be placed on the core skill development of our youth players for EYHA to excel.

As a result, Coach Cahill will not be behind the bench for the 2025-2026 season. He will instead be working with our travel and select teams and coaches to offer analysis and assistance with each team's individual skill development. EYHA and Coach Cahill believe that focused efforts in this area will lay the foundation for our organization to offer the best development in Central Ohio.
